Re: Roll of honour
Name: Helena, 45 yo, Maryland, USA Completed: July 15, 2012 Started: 9 weeks prior The psychology of this app was spot on. Just about every time I'd start to get panicky, here would come that familiar voice to encourage me. I had two really bad runs - one in week 3 and one in week 4. Each time, I tr...

Re: Week 4 run 3 sort of failed! Advice needed
Hey, in my opinion the most important thing to decide is to not let yourself get discouraged. I had an abysmal w4r1 and r2 and suddenly r3 was fine. I have no clue why it got rough and less why it got better. I look back and see I had a million reasons that all boiled down to panic - so please don't...

Re: Week 5
Just finished week 4 - with a bang that surprised me considering how challenging the first two runs of the week were. I even ran a few extra minutes after the cool down. Maybe that was a mistake, but I was trying to prepare myself mentally for w5- which suddenly doesn't seem so impossible. I think t...

Re: Run 3 down! I'm a little confused!
Hey, I think the 2-day break is only for the end of a week - not for between the runs within a week. And by 'week', I mean the ones designated in the app (week 1, 2, 3, etc) not the calendar week.
Hope this helps. Oh, and good job!!

Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Hi, I am a 45 year old woman living in Maryland, USA. I entered a 5K at work on a whim and had a co-worker take me under her wing. She coached me the whole way and kept us on a regimen of run 2 min and walk 1 min. We weren't even the last ones over the finish line. Well, that experience put the bug ...

Re: A fun new running app
I just got this app even though I am not finished with Get Running because I wanted my teenager to run with me occasionally. We ran the first episode this week and it is hilarious good fun. I'm thinking it might be fun to mix it up or use to repair one's self esteem after a particularly challenging ...

I have some real anxiety moments, too. Sometimes before a run - sometimes during. When that happens I try to remember to go over in my head encouraging posts just like all the great ones you inspired. Thanks, H (w4r2)

Re: Not ready for prime time!
Hang in there. Tonight I'll run w4r2. Each is just as hard as the last, but I ran 5 min. <pause> I ran 5 whole minutes - twice. I would have never believed it whenI was in w1. You will get there - i know you will
