Re: I DID IT!!!!!
Thanks Timl2k10! I will check that out too. I do need to transition to running outside since almost all of my running has been on my treadmill. I did my last run outside and it was quite a shock for me. The weather is getting colder now so this may be more difficult, but I will manage best I can. Ke...

Re: Roll of honour
Name: Diane Area: Ohio I finished this program and am now able to run 30 min, albeit very slow. I will be working on increasing my speed and distance so I can start running 5k races. Right now my distance is only about 2.3 so I have some work to do! I can't believe 9 weeks ago I could not even run f...

Re: I DID IT!!!!!
I finished the program! I am running for 30 minutes, although still slow, but I am just amazed! Now I will incorporate some faster intervals during my runs to get my distance and speed up. My distance for 30 minutes is about 2.3 miles so in order to do a 5k I need to do some pace work. Any suggestio...

Re: And so it begins
Congrats to you Flyboy! I know how hard you have been working for this. You should be proud! The longer runs, at least to me, seem to go by faster each time. I begin w8 on Monday, 28 minute runs and am looking forward to it. Good luck on your runs- you are doing great. I hope the weather clears for ...

W7R2 done! And it actually seemed to go lots quicker than the first two 25 minute runs. One more this week and then on to 28 minutes!

I DID IT!!!!!
I finished wk 6 with the 25 min run. I cannot believe I am able to do this. My distance was 2 miles! I was happy at 1.5 miles. The last few minutes were rough but I stuck it out and I am so glad I did. It will make next week much easier knowing I have already completed the same run once.

Re: And so it begins
Fantastic! I did my w5r3 20 minute run today and it was GREAT! I didn't even have to slow down, although I am not running very fast, 4.2 mph. The last 5 minutes were rough, but I managed pretty well. Loving this program!

Re: And so it begins
Awesome! I feel a lot of the same things. I begin week 4 on Wednesday . I feel pretty confident about it, but beyond that week it scares me. But I am not going to stop this time. I want to be a runner. I think by the time we get to those runs, our confidence will be up because we will already have d...

Re: And so it begins
I ran w3r2 yesterday and was surprised to find that it just felt like it was over so fast...and not a struggle. My legs felt like they just wanted to keep going. I hope this feeling sticks around as the runs get longer. I am a little nervous for next week but mostly excited.
