Re: Roll of honour
Name: Nikki Location: Newcastle, Australia Graduated: 25 May 2013 It's taken me exactly two months to complete the program. The weather has been bad for the last week so my JogTracker app hasn't worked properly, but I estimate that the final run was 5km in 40 minutes (4km in 30 minutes). Today I'll ...

HIGH FIVE SHEP! You're well and truly on the home straight now - only three weeks left! All big runs from now on, and you know you can do it. Well done!

Re: Where in the world are you, and where do you run?
Shelby, I just googled the Cumberland Gap - it looks stunning! Lucky you! Justin mate, I can't say the same for Birmingham! ;) Tongue firmly in cheek there - I used to live in an absolute hole called Walkden in Salford, Manchester. Its one redeeming feature was Blackleach Country Park. Wouldn't mind...

Where in the world are you, and where do you run?
I mentioned this in another thread but thought a new thread might be better so as to keep the other one on topic. I'm in Newcastle NSW, which is probably a runner's paradise - lots of good routes along the foreshore and beaches, and lots of parks. I mostly run in the Bar Beach area, because it's fai...

Re: Week 6 - horrible!!
I found that it was difficult to go back to having breaks in between runs after cracking the 20 minute run in W5R3. I'm now in W8 and even though the runs are terribly hard in places, I find that I get into a rhythm and in some parts the minutes just disappear. Remember how you couldn't imagine doin...

Facebook Glitch - Week 8 Run 2
Hi Benjohn & Matt, I've just completed Week 8 Run 2. The app and the Twitter update both said W8R2, but the Facebook update says I've completed W8R3; the previous run on Facebook was W8R1. I'm not sure how Facebook will update on my next run (repeat W8R3 or move on to W9R1); I'll post an update ...

Well done Mary, it sounds like you have made great progress so far! And congratulations on giving up smoking - I'm struggling to quit myself. If you have any tips please do let me know!

Re: Week 5 run 3 - DONE!
I'm originally from England, have lived in Australia for nearly 4 years. I generally stick to the same area for my runs - Bar Beach near Newcastle NSW - mostly because it's relatively flat. Newcastle is a runner's paradise - lots of great routes along the foreshore and beaches, and lots of parks. Th...
