Re: Week Eight - Tough
Thanks, you three, so much for some great advice. I have yet to get out there again - too much socialising. I will run again tomorrow morning. This time I shall think of your encouraging words. I'll let you know how I go. Hope you're all well. Verity

Week Eight - Tough
How is it that I am finding Week Eight so difficult? I am on run two, but this morning only managed 15 minutes of the 28. I have rested for the last two days, so I was feeling fresh this morning. But every time I run I have a little voice in my head that is constantly telling me I'll never make it, ...

Re: Finished! Or have I...?
Many thanks, Lauraeliza30. That's very useful to know. My goal, I guess somewhat unambitiously, is to be able to run for an hour, five days a week - ie, weekdays. I have no real ambition to take part in marathons, half marathons or 10ks, though that may change over time. This morning I did Week Seve...

Re: Week 5, Run 3 - OMG, WTF, Yay
I have no idea why she is called Claire. Her parents, no doubt, liked the name. The reason I named her as Claire is taken from other people posting on this site that used the same name when referring to the calming voice in the app. Many have said that she sounds Australian or South African, but to ...

Re: Finished! Or have I...?
well done you for getting so far. and how disappointing for you... or not, depending on how you look at it. I'm on week six, run two now. My plan is to finish the course but then keep running week nine to work on my pace. Congratulations to you, whichever way you see it.

Week 5, Run 3 - OMG, WTF, Yay
Yay, I did it. I had put it off for three days but this morning I ran for 20 minutes continuously. Of course, the hardest thing was the psychological barrier which is all very well in hindsight.... Anyway, I'm dead chuffed. And at the end of the run, I heard Claire in my ipod say, 'now you can call ...

Re: Running with a hangover
Dear Biscuit-breath and Snapzzz Many thanks for your responses. Biscuit-breath, thanks for the empathy and Snapzz, thanks for the size-of-the-hangover-scientific-approach to the dilemma. I especially liked the, 'man up,' instruction. Ashamedly, I have not yet got out there again. It was a huge hango...

Running with a hangover
Dear Forum,
I am new to running (just about to start week five), however, I have been put off my stride, so to speak, by having an almighty knees-up at the weekend. Three days later and I'm still a bit tired. What are the rules on running with a hangover? Is it advisable? Many thanks.
