Re: Help!!

I didn't use a treadmill because I had a very particular and personal goal for the program. Which means that as was said before, treadmill our outdoors it doesn't matter, just do it. I have tried treadmills in the past and they didn't translate to out side very well for me. Now it is in my mind, so ...

Re: Help!!

First, what Starknut said. I took a little longer trip to C25K, I tried to get running on my own for about 4 weeks prior. I moved, but it was far from ideal. The thing I did get out of it was the ability to walk at a solid pace for 25-30 min. I guess my thing is if you are relaxing, going as slow as...

Re: W9R1 completed

You got me by 3 years, 2.5 inches, but the same weight. As I said, there are folks that need your encouragement and advice to avoid injury. I did dumb little thing after dumb little thing during my program, but nothing big enough to stop. But if someone has any nagging doubts, any one (heel blister,...

Re: Week 8 in the books, onto to the final week!

I do have some follow on goals, one was accomplished much sooner than expected, Of course completing the program was the first goal. The second was to run a full 5K. I expected that to be in October. Well, I ended up in a 5K last Saturday. Was only going to use that as week 8 run 3. Things just kept...

Re: Week 8 in the books, onto to the final week!

I knew you would do it again, your previous post told me you are too driven to let anything bring you down. I am one week ahead of you and finished today. I can honestly tell you that the small 2 minute step up will be barely noticeable. You probably would have done it today if the app had paused an...

Re: W8R2 tougher than I thought

The point is, you did it...again! Now you will keep doing it again. That extra 2 min. next week will be be nothing and you get even better. Good luck and have fun.

Week 9 Run 1

Tomorrow morning is week 9 run 1. This program has already accomplished everything I hoped and more. I did week 8 more like week 9 and last Saturday, week 8 run 3, I found myself in a 5K honoring a friends daughter lost to cancer. It was a wonderful cause and figured I would get w8 r3 out of the way...

Re: Week 8

I will also do week 8 run 2 tomorrow. I did cheat a bit in week 7. I got so worried about making 28 in week 8, added 1 min per run in week 7 until I did 28 on w7 r3. And then 30 on w8 r1. It is amazing after barely making the 3 and five min runs in the early weeks, the first 20 minutes seem to not b...

Re: Week 6

Jane, Am right there with you. I just finished week 6 this morning. The first 20 min of the run wasn't bad, but I kept wanting to look at the time the last 5 min. I also have run keeper that squawks about 20 seconds before I hit the 5 min interval on C25K. The upside about when you make 25 min run, ...

You can do it, just don't break stride.
