Forum Spam

My apologies for this week's influx of spam on the forums. There's been a sharp increase in spam recently, according to our anti-spam provider, Akismet , and that coincided with me heading off to spend much of last weekend in a cellar in Cornwall at a beer festival, which isn't entirely conducive to...

Re: What does claire say at the end of Week 7 run 3?

Ooh, strange. Sorry Claire lost her voice on you. Is this on iPhone, iPod Touch or Android?

If it helps, after the 5-minute cool-down, I think Claire says, "To feel ready for the next run, stretch those muscles really well." :)

Re: ~ Bleeding After Running: Common Causes ~

While I don't advocate spending much money on running before you've figured out if it's your sort of thing, you may at least want to head to a decent running shoe shop and have your shoes checked out. Especially if you're bleeding. (Most shops will do a free consultation; if you don't want to spend ...

Re: All done

Brilliant! Well done! One thing -- be careful when you build up your pace. Pace can be tricky to increase, and you don't want to injure yourself pushing too hard on that limit. Just as with the walking/running of the initial C25K, you might want to consider interval training to improve your pace -- ...

Re: Sticky: Customer Survey

Good survey. But you need to put New Zealand in as well. I ain't an Aussie. Sorry! I used a default list of continents that came with SurveyMonkey. I didn't realise I was going to cause any continental controversy. I have now added the "Zealandia" continental fragment as a choice on the s...

Re: pavement or grass?

They're definitely different. I find running on grass and country tracks is less jarring, but seems to give my ankles more of a workout -- I think with the more varied surface angles and embedded rocks and what-have-you, you might be at slightly more risk of twisting an ankle, but it's never actuall...

Customer Survey (now closed, thanks!)

Hi all, Matt here. As some of you know, I'm the developer of the Android version of Get Running. I'm also going to be doing some marketing for us, and it would be really helpful to know a bit more about our existing customers (whether you're an iOS or an Android user.) This should help me be a bit m...
