Does the pain peak exist?
What I mean is; people say you can get to the pinnacle of pain on running, only to be able to run through it and then it goes. Is this true, or have I just not reached it yet. It feels like I have but I still haven't run thru it!

Re: sleep trouble
hi trinamac
I'm still having trouble staying asleep; no trouble getting to sleep initially though. I'm on the 25 mins runs and things haven't improved. But it won't stop me I'll just keep going; its got to improve.

Re: Treadmill v Outdoors
Wind is a problem! Where I live I'm either surrounded by a council estate or lonely country roads - strange but true. Maybe when I'm not panting like a rabid dog I'll hit the busy roads, but for the present I'll run on the the lanes. One side of me has fields where I swear to God (and maybe he's the...

Re: Treadmill v Outdoors
I'm up to the 20 min runs - outdoors. In 3 wks I'm on a wk's cruise, so will be in the gym. I'd like to go outside but everyone would get in the way - or would I get in theirs? And, I'd have to do it late at night or before breaky. Guess I'll have to try the treadmill. It's a bit of an older persons...

Re: Week 5 run 3 guide/tutorial
Barneyhairball here again. I actually did it! I mean I actually ran (ok crawled very slowly, but still more than a walk!), for 20 minutes (1.6 miles in the car)! I am soooo happy! I never thought it possible. I now see why 'they' make us do this now; ie, going from 8 mins to 20 mins seems too great ...

Re: sleep trouble
I'm also having trouble sleeping. My problem is that I wake up at 2 am and then btwn 5-6 am. Why? It doesn't make sense. I've never done this before. I've always been a good sleeper. I wake up and could easily go to make a drink; its like when you are a kid and your mum tells you you must go to slee...

I love it when the voice tells me to slow down if I have to. Snails pass me by!
