Re: Hello - My First Day

Well I finally did week 5 run 3 today and didnt get the usualt foot and lower leg pain. I have just been re-running the run 2 for couple of weeks while trying to alter how I run and it seems to have worked.

Re: Hello - My First Day

I got a new phone and failed miserably at the 20 minute run last night, so I'm going to restart from the start of week 5 again. My issue has been pain in my lower legs, I'm not getting out of breath or anything, I have been watching youtube vids and reading about "ChiRunning" which seems t...

Re: Hello - My First Day

Well I just did week 5 run 2 which I believe was meant to be 8 mins then 2 resting then 8 mins, I lost my iphone so had to do it by memory :( Its way worse when you have to keep checking a watch with no countdown and prompts. Assuming I was right at least I got it done.

Re: sidelined by 'injury' week 4

That sucks. I have been ill and had to take extra time before starting week 4 but it wasnt too bad running it, I think the extra rest time actually helped so maybe if the doc can fix whatever parts are broken you can pick right up where you left off.

Re: Hello - My First Day

Hi, I have been ill and now I'm out of schedule. I ended up taking a break between when I should have started week 4 and when I did, so had pretty much a week off including the rest. If anything when I finally felt well again to run (Saturday) I found the first three runs (3 and 5 and 3 minutes) pre...

Re: Hello - My First Day

I am starting week 4 tonight, considering the state of me during week 3 it is not going to be pretty to watch :)

Re: Hello - My First Day

Probably should have read that first ;) I made it anyway and now I have a days rest before sunday then back on track. Sadly Im a very goal orientated "all-or-nothing" sort of person and I just know that if I let myself slip a bit I will end up slippping a lot and probably not finishing the...

Re: Hello - My First Day

MADE IT! Still got a headache but nothing near as bad. One possible reason is apparently dehydration so I have drunk about 5 bottles of water throughout today. Anyway, made the two 3 minute runs even though I KNEW I couldnt go beyond the 1:30 last week. Hurt like hell and I had to turn the treadmill...

Re: Hello - My First Day

Well I got through the first 3 minute run but then as it ended and I started to walk I got the most intense headache I have ever had, like a stabbing in the back of my head then a throbbing all through it. So I think I will rest and try again tomorow, unless I find any parts of me that dont work any...

Re: Hello - My First Day

Okay week 2 done - I saw week 3 and it has a couple of 3 minute runs, the back of my legs hurt after 1:30 during week 2 so I'm not looking forward to it. Looks like more people will be wondering what is going on in my house when they walk passed and hear deep breathing and someone chanting the bene ...
