First Ever 10k
Hi guys just thought I'd revisit you all, it's been a while. Today May 13th 2012 I ran my first ever 10k doing the Blackpool 10k in 62 mins 47 secs. This would never have happened without the Get Running app and to you the other app users and the owners of the site I will be forever thankful. I now ...

Re: Have you ever craved a run when you've never really done
Jules, just take the app one day or run at a time. Don't be afraid to go back a week and re-do days, as the saying goes 'its not a race' and before long you will be thinking how the hell did i run for 5, 10, 20 and then 30 mins withour stopping. It is a fantastic feeling when you pass each milestone...

Re: Happy and Sad!
My plans are to use the run keeper app just to monitor my pace and distance. Hopefully the guys who made this site will do a couch to 10k ap. I have also joined the parkrun website and plan to do some of their 5k runs. However my main focus is to keep my training and running up as I have registered ...

Something To Share!!
Guys let me share something with all of you!! Last year on the 18.10.2010 i made a decision to challenge myself. This challenge was to lose 60lbs in weight and to become more active and healthy. When i jumped on the scales i was horrified to see the digital dial scream 360.2lbs, oh sh--t i thought!...

Re: Gutted!
Mike shoes could have been the problem but not how you think! When i started i was wearing any old trainers i had, so i went and had my gait analised and bought myself a pair of New Balance supportive running shoes. Now here came the problem, when i run i over pronate according to the guy in the sho...

Re: Gutted!
Mike thanks for the reply it's great when people come back with positive encouragement. I think I just needed a kick up the backside so I had a chat with a mate who is an avid runner. He put a few pointers to me which gave me a lot more belief in myself and my running/jogging. I did the 25 min run a...
