Week 5, or week 4 again??

I finished week 4 today and am quite pleased with myself however. I did find a BIG challenge! I definitely could not of held a conversation during my last run! I am feeling very nervous about week 5 and do not feel ready for it at all. I am feeling like I should repeat week 4 rather than start week ...

Re: Help! What shall I do??

Ok, so I did it!! Decided to start where I left off and did week 4 run 1 this morning. Found it pretty tough but I managed to do it!! I think I just have this mental block which will not let me stop running until the nice lady on the app tells me I can!!! I'm feeling quite pleased with myself! I hav...

Re: Help! What shall I do??

Thanks everyone for your advice and encouragement! My 9 days rest is over and my shoulder is better. I am setting my alarm to get up early and start again where I left off, beginning of week 4!! Feeling pretty nervous about it but will let you know how I get on tomorrow!

Re: Help! What shall I do??

Oh, ok will try to start again where I left off. Physio thought starting running and also running whilst holding iPhone in hand may have contributed to injury. Any tips as to what to do with phone while running?

Help! What shall I do??

Really fed up! Was due to start week 4 today but have unfortunately sustained a shoulder injury. I saw the physio today and she told me not to run for a week! It is 2 days since my last run so that will mean having 9 days off. Do I start again from the beginning????

Hooray!!!

I thought I would really struggle with Week 3 run 1 but I did it this morning and I feel GREAT! I listened to an audio book instead of music and I think it helped because I concentrated on the book and not the running! Really pleased and amazed that I seem to be improving!

Food/fuel question

I have just done week 2 run 1 and feel great now it's over! I like to run at 6.30am so I can get home in time to get ready for my day. Obviously I don't feel like eating beforehand. Is it ok to run on an empty stomach and eat about an hour after I finish? I did try eating half a banana 10 mins befor...
