Re: When it is hot
Good for you. Week 5 is brill but vv daunting . I thought I wouldn't beable to manage any if the week 5 runs but I did , I just took it v gently and accepted that slow is ok. I concentrated on my posture and relaxed shoulders and found that you get into a bit of a rhythmn after 5-8 minutes. That sai...

Re: W6 R3, need to believe in myself more.
Thanks.
I came back on a week 4 run. Nearly collapsed and reverted to week 3!!! Then broke all the rules and ran 4 times over 8 days doing modified week 3, 4 xnd 5 runs . Then ran infamous W5run 3 and took it from there. Chill tough today tho...

Re: When it is hot
Hi. I'm rubbish at running in the heat. I think it's fine to defer a run if the conditions are adverse for you. While it's been hot this week I've been running early in the morning and find it much better. I feel fresher and it gives me a spring in my step for the day. Ioften feel quite fatigued in ...

W6 R3, need to believe in myself more.
Well after a 3 week break for avirus and a catch up I nailed my first 25 minute run. It was not easy but I think I'd pursuaded myself that I couldn't do it. Anyway , the usual pattern... Horrid first 5, bit of despair 2nd 5 then a bit of calmness and positivity. The last 5 was hard but ok. So..... 2...

Re: Just Started
Congratulations on completing week 1. I have just downloaded Examples new track. I take the view that if it all gets too much and I start seeing flashing lights I can pretend I'm in a rave!!! Just did week 6 run 3 and although it wasn't easy it was possible. The ap is great. Keep posting and good lu...

Re: I'm so scared! 1st timer!
Congratulations. This is the beginning of a fantastic journey . I'm not a natural runner at all and really struggled with the first few weeks. It's mainly the breathing thing with me. More gasping than breathing.... I never worry about creeping up behind people like a ninja, they can hear me like pu...

Re: HEEELLLOOOOO!
Hi Sally. Glad you're enjoying it. I'm justback from week 6 run 1 and it was pretty good. I confess that I have sometimes run more than 3 times and also on consecutive days . I did this after a 3 week break for avirus to get back in the groove . Otherwise I have followed the programme , mainly cos p...

Re: Sore toe - advice please!!
Dear Monkey- hope your toe is improving. I can feel the angst in your post . This is my advice after having to stop running at the end of week 5 following a bad virus. You will not lose all your progress. The programme isn't going anywhere and will be there when your foot is better. When you are bet...

Re: Transition from Week 1 to Week 2
You have made a brilliant start.. Well done. Go for week 2 and try to make that 90 second target. The first one is often the hardest but just slow down and do a vvv slow jog. Trust the programme..... It's great, and the biggest barrier is usually in your head -certainly is in mine!! Relax.. Shoulder...

Re: I'm slow - but pleased as punch!
So impressed... A whole hour!! Seems ages when 20 minutes feels a major achievement... So much of this is in your head isn't it? Having re done week 5 run 3 it was so much easier even tho I had been ill because I KNEW it was possible!! Won't make the mistake of thinking I can't do it again WE CAN!!!...
