Re: Oh yeah! Just did week 5 run 3!
According to runkeeper, I covered just over 2 miles, 2.13 to be exact. That was including my warm up and cool down though. I'm quite slow!

I just finished week 5 run 3 today too!! Woo hoo! So proud of myself, a few weeks ago 20 minutes running was unthinkable!

Re: Running away from home!
I've just found out which hotel I'm staying in and it's in a quiet little village in the countryside. I've looked on google maps and there looks like lots of nice little roads I could run down.
So I'm going to pack my running gear, man up and just DO IT!
Thanks for the advice everyone, good to ...

My boyfriend has had a stinking cold all week and I think I'm starting to get it today. I don't feel too bad yet, but my glands in my neck are pretty swollen and my throat feels a bit scratchy...I'm thinking I'll probably wake up tomorrow with a full blown cold.

Re: Knee pain
I also get knee pain from running, mine is due to patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is apparently the most common sports-medicine diagnosis. The doctor gave me some exercises to do to strengthen up specific leg muscles which helps.
Last summer, before I got the diagnosis, I was hitting the gym ...

I also use an armband, you can get them pretty cheaply on Amazon. I'm starting to get a very strange tan line from mine though
