Hey Guys
I just discovered Runkeeper earlier this month and I love it. The social aspect of it has to be the best part of it. Feel free to add me.

Its HOT out there!
Anyone else here struggling through the heat of the summer? Last night I waited until 8pm to go out and the heat index was still at 105degrees (thats 41degrees Celsius for all my UK friends) here on the East coast of the US . That is absolutely ridiculous for this part of the world, but since I didn...

Re: Finished Week 5 Run 3 DONE!
Thanks for all the inspiration you guys! I find myself wanting to run everyday now...although I know that I should not! Tomorrow I start week 6 day 1 - hardly seems insurmountable after doing that 20 minute run yesterday!! Week 6 day 1 seemed easy to me after finishing up week 5 day 3. 5 min, 8 min...

Re: Finished Week 5 Run 3 DONE!
I have to do this run tomorrow and I am really apprehensive about it! Any tips? Sorry for the delayed response.. my newest son, Rhys, was born the day after I finished up this run. Talk about a high! I had been worried that his arrival would mess up my progress, but he was considerate enough to be ...

Re: Gutted!
that sucks man.. Sorry to hear it. Just remember than when you come back from resting, you won't be all the way back where you started. You're going to be just fine, this is just a bump on your road to becoming a runner.

Finished Week 5 Run 3 DONE!
I had been somewhat apprehensive about this run, but it actually went great. I can't believe I ran 20 minutes straight without even dying :) I came home and bragged to my wife and she said, "Of course you did it. The program got you to this point, so of course you could" It was such a grea...

Re: running more than every other day
My understanding is that the every other day training is essential to allow your muscles, bones, and ligaments time to recover and recuperate. Its on those off days that your body has a chance to grow strong. If you skip out on the rest days, then you're hurting your progress. If you're running ever...

Re: Doomed to be fat :(
Hey, hang in there. I struggle with heartburn (partially caused by being overweight) and I will sometimes get that bloody taste in my mouth when I overexert myself. Try going a little easier next time and maybe you can try some tums or something to keep things down. Hey Jaysonjaz :) Thanks for the ...
