Re: Sore toe - advice please!!
I got home from work - got into my running gear - positive mind that I COULD do it, but just putting a sock on - let alone my trainer - made it feel awful! I approached my treadmill line every night, with excitement but anticipation - more anticipation tonight - but it was too sore to walk so I trie...

Re: Proper Warm Up
Hi guys, Thanks for your feedback - much appreciated. I certainly will continue to do the warm up and warm down - and I always do stretches after my warm down - but I think I might try some of the dynamic stretches (thanks Laurie!) before I do my warm ups - mainly the calf muscle stretches. I wonder...

Proper Warm Up
I have to say, I'm still struggling a little with my calf muscles tiring quickly as, although this App is fantastic, I have to say, when I went to the gym and got on the treadmill, the trainers always used to say I had to warm up and stretch first before speeding up - but this App says nothing about...

Re: Exercise on rest days, some questions
I go for a 1.5 mile walk every lunch hour - even on my run days, I just feel it loosens my muscles up - I don't power walk - but it takes me about 30 mins, so not bad, every little helps I reckon!

Re: Gutted!
Sorry to hear that Jimmy Such a shame! But listen to your Doc and don't be tempted to try running before the 2 weeks are up otherwise you'll put yourself back further!!
Don't fret mate - you can always start the programme again - it's not going anywhere!

Re: I'm new to this - be gentle
Cheers guys for all your words of encouragement. I started this last Weds, so which meant that I'd be running on a Weds, Fri and Sun each week, but I thought I would prefer to run on a Mon, Weds and Fri - then I get the weekends off - so I re-started Week 1 again on Monday and BOY was that run tough...

I'm new to this - be gentle
Here's my story: Hey people, I'm Monkey and I have yo-yo dieted since I was old enough to order diet Pills! :@0 I've tried every diet (each on numerous occasions!) but have never given up on myself (must be the Gemini in me) - but I thought I had control of my weight, went on holiday, had Crimbo (Ch...
