Re: 6 foot 6, 240lbs, walking a bit in 25 min run

I am 6'1" and 230 lbs.

When I hit the 25 minute runs, I found I had to walk a little bit.

Try this, if you feel you need to stop.. Walk only long enough to cross a street or just 10-15 seconds at a time then pick it back up. That's all it took for me.

Again...

I graduated from the program earlier this month. I ended up taking two weeks off with an occasional run. I have decided to rerun the program. It was primarily a whim but I wanted to improve my speed. What I found was last time, I was in bad running shape and I could jog the program. This time I am a...

Re: Eeekkk week 5 run 3

You know, it wasn't easy but it was doable. Simply slow down to start and don't focus on the 20 minutes. Focus on the next 5 minutes.

Focus on breathing, listening to your music and enjoy the outdoors. Before you know it, it will be over.

Good luck.

Re: weight loss?

I also haven't seen any weight loss from the program. But, my cardio is much better. I am also going to donate blood tomorrow and they will give me a cholesterol count. This is where I am expecting a decent difference. While my ex and I used to eat very similar diets, her cholesterol was much lower ...

Name: Thomas Location: Frisco, Texas Date Completed: Aug 10, 2011 I had my own share of problems between the travel schedule and hotter than hell weather. But last night at 11:00 pm, I got on a treadmill and punched through the finish. It was the only session I did on a treadmill. In some ways much ...

Re: I'm so scared! 1st timer!

Good luck. I have never been a fan of running. There are good days and bad days. But i found that I missed running if I skipped a couple days. And I don't even like to run. Listen to your body. And commit to just that run. Don't think about the next one until you finish your current run. If I can do...

Re: Just Started

Some runs are easier. Some are harder. I just finished last night. Amazing the difference when there's a finish line.

Good luck!

Struggling Week 7, Day 1

I had been doing ok on the program. It pushed me through the first few weeks. And then Week 6 run 3 I struggled, needing to walk a tiny bit (3 times for about 10 seconds). I tried doing Week 7 run 1, but I struggled so much I could only manage about 10 minutes running and finally gave up. This may h...

Re: Switching over

You can just choose a new week and run and click on it. It will ask you if you want to skip.
