Re: Running at 4:30am a bad idea?

First - well done i had the app for a few months before i got started. Eventually just went for it one evening and haven't looked back. Now on week 8 and amazed at how steady the progress has been. You won't feel the build up - one day you'll be running for 20 minutes and you'll think - how did that...

Re: Week 8

I am so impressed that you are covering 5 k in that time! You are doing so brilliantly. I am at same stage but I'm much slower! I did wonder if I'd let it bother me but to be honest I'm just thrilled to be running for 28 mins!! I covered approximately 3.5 k in the 28 min run and I'm happy with that....

Re: Wondering when the good days start to outnumber the bad

Shari - loving it!! Every day recently has been great. Didn't really enjoy last two runs as they were on a treadmill but I knew that was the reason. I think I was bored!! I was surprised as I always thought running was easier on a treadmill. My calf muscles are aching a little tonight and last night...

Re: Comparing running with life

Very thought provoking. I am the kind of person who sets herself challenges and generally always gets there. So I did run three week 7 this evening and all I could think Of was getting to the end and finishing the 25 mins. While I'm enjoying the programme and feeling great - amazed that my lungs are...

Re: One down!

Well done for getting started. I downloaded the app in July and didn't get started until September!! Try to remember as you go along that success depends a lot on what's in your mind. If you believe you can do it you will. So don't think about how hard it ( sometimes) feels think about how amazing i...

No idea about the ankles. Just wanted to say hi and welcome. Don't worry about other people - you get over it really quickly. Enjoy the app!

Re: Week 6

Poor Birgit. I feel your pain. Dont even think about the weight - you've stopped smoking. That's what matters. It'll come off again. As for the running - probdbly just a bad day?! I had a few of those last week but I'm loving week six. Run 1 & 2 done feeling great - was so much more comfortable ...

Re: Wondering when the good days start to outnumber the bad

Hi everyone. Run 1 week six went really well this am. Got to the park before work. Sun shining. Got to thinking about last Monday run 1 week 5 and the difference really surprised me. I was so much more able today. Delighted. Lungs are getting better. Legs are never sore after but I do feel them tiri...

Re: Wondering when the good days start to outnumber the bad

Get you two - boasting about your sports injuries!! Hope you both recover quickly - I know i say I'm struggling and I'm finding it tough but I would HATE to be laid up. After my 20 min run today (!!) I now realise that actually I'm not struggling. I'm doing really well. If it was meant to be easy I ...
