I just wanted to say that you are absolutely amazing! Good luck running in the cooler weather, I'm sure you'll do fine.

Re: How to use the stopwatch?
You can re-run any run, any time, just by selecting the one you want before you hit Run! So even if you restore your iPhone you can always just select the 30 minute run and go. The other app which you might enjoy is RunKeeper, which has the option of setting up a training program on which you can se...

Re: Losing motivation
Hi Benjohn,
I've been lurking on the forums since I started running, there's always new things cropping up and I am a bit of a theory-nut, I always read masses of background information and advice about anything I'm doing/interested in at the time, so I can't resist coming back here .

Re: Side stitch while running
This might not be the case with you, but I have given myself a really bad stitch by drinking too much water during my runs, I had about 2/3 of my 600ml bottle before my final run, and had a horrible stitch as a result. I still carry water and sip at it in walking intervals, but I save most of it to ...

Re: Losing motivation
Two new posts after all this time, very exciting :) Well, about four months later, I'm now running for intervals of 5 minutes running, 2 mins walking, 5 mins running, 2 mins walking, 12 minutes running. I was at 6,6,14 but then went on holiday for two weeks and wasn't able to run (we were driving al...

Re: iPod/iPhone sets
Hey there, You want to go in you iTunes library and create a new playlist (let's call it "Running"), put your run list in that. Then connect your iphone, tell it to sync selected playlists only, select "Running" and you'll have just those songs on your iphone. To listen to them w...

Re: Amazing run today!
I don't really think I can run any slower than my current pace, I half expect to be overtaken by little old ladies on most of my runs! I think the sad truth is that I am simply woefully unfit and need to work my way up to being capable of running for longer. I'm trying to focus on how much I've impr...

Re: Hills: Now, later, even later, or never?
Oh yes, forgot to mention the "being careful running downhill" bit. I try to REALLY focus on striking the ground with my mid-foot rather than my heel when running downhill, I find it helps to lean forward a little as you run. Shortening your steps is meant to help learning to do this too.

Re: Hills: Now, later, even later, or never?
I would start the hills now, I live in the bottom of a valley so my only choice has been running up hills, but while it can be a bit of a slog, it's nice to know that on the way back I have a downhill run to look forward to. It's also massively rewarding to see hills that you once found exhausting t...

Amazing run today!
Hello all, I just felt the need to share a positive experience after posting a whole lot of problems on here! I did two 9 minute runs with a 4 minute break today. I'm deviating slightly from the program because I really can't do the 20 minute run at the end of week 5. While we're on the subject, tod...
