Wow! I did it! But now what....

"How the hell did that happen!" I screamed as the lady on the App congratulated me on finishing W9R3 this morning. And truth be told I still don't know the answer. But nonetheless, here we are, I finished the course today !!! Yep W9R3 has come and gone and I even did it on a higher than us...

Re: Treadmill v Outdoors

I have done all of my runs on a treadmill as where I live it is 20 C first thing in the morning and during summer it hits 40 while you are still having your cornflakes! The biggest challenge for me is the boredom and the 'clock watching' but I know just pop a TV show on the iPad and it seems to go m...

Re: Week 4 Run 1

Huge congrats to all of you guys for getting this far. I just did W9R2 today and have the final run due on Thursday. And you know what, and I know this might sound wierd, but I am kinda jealous of you guys! I am really looking forward to finishing the app but am also dreading the fact that from now ...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

I tried W9R2 again today. I thought half way through I was going to have to quit again but instead I just took down the pace a bit and in the end I finished with some gas still left in the tank. Just one more run to go now! :D

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

Hey jsymystery. Hope you back gets better soon.

I was due to run W9R2 today but it just didnt happen. I really struggled throughout and then had to stop with about 8 minutes remaining. I guess sometimes your body just says no!

Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow!

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

I had to do to Dubai for some all day meetings so only got out to do W8R3 this morning. I managed it but it was a real struggle for those last 3 mins. Also, I dont know what it is but for some reason these extra three minutes have had a HUGE impact on my recovery. Even on the 25 min runs I would fee...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

I completed W8R2 this morning. The second 28 minute run. Both this and W8R1 are actually fine. For me there is a point around 8 minutes where my legs are really starting to ache and then I realise I still have 20 minutes to go! Its awful. But if I push through that the half way point comes around qu...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

I was also due to do W7R2 yesterday but as I had a really busy morning I decided to do it after work instead. Big mistake. I don't know why but I just couldn't do it and barely even got half way! I felt so down about it afterwards... So, this morning I got up early and tried again and whilst not eas...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

Well, I just completed W7R2, the second of the four 25 minute runs. It was fine but I need to up my pace a bit as I only managed 3.7km! I tried to releive the boredom a bit today by watching something on my iPad but it made me feel a bit sick so I had to stop. I guess it could be a version of...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

W6R2 (2 x 10) = done, with ease. Bring on the 25 min jobby on friday :) We are on exactly the same run on the same day. I also did W6R2 on Weds. Not quite with ease but completed it nontheless. The first 10 I did far more easily than I thought I would have but then I got cocky for the 2nd 10 and up...
