Ideas for improving pace?

Hi there!
Now that I'm done, I want to improve on my overall 5k time. Any suggestions out there for doing so? :?:

I didn't give in and nine weeks later, I'm done! I'm also crazy enough to think I'm going to start training to complete a full maratho...

I finally made it here!

I've been waiting for the day that I could be a graduate. I did it by competing in a 5k! I did my first 5K last night November and walked it. I finished in 56:17. I did one in February and jogged/ran 25 minutes of it and finished at 53:09. Yesterday I completed one (that had many atrocious hills) an...

Re: Week 9 here I come

I'm on W9R2! I'm also very sad that this program is coming to the end! I'm going to keep running 30 minutes 3x a week. Then I'm going to spend one day a week working on increasing my pace. I found this website that gives a good schedule. http://www.runningplanet.com/training/5K-workouts-goal-pace-pr...

Re: Unbelievably disappointed. :((((

I also suffered from shin splints a lot. I first tried this app back in September of last year. I couldn't continue. What I did was started to walk A LOT. This got my legs ready. Once I started this app again, my legs were in a better place. I still had shin splints though. The thing that got me thr...

Re: Strating out is so hard

I also agree. I'm 235 pounds and nearly quit the app on W1R1 but I kept going. I'm on week 8 now and I can't believe I've come this far. Keep with it. The reward at the end is worth it!!

Re: Tough Run After 20 Minute Run?

I did my first 28 minute run today! Crazy to even type that. It was gorgeous weather out so my muscles were warm. It felt great! I could've run 30. I'm covering 2.7 miles now with run, warm up, and cool down. I'm on my way. I can't believe I only have 5 runs left!!! :(

Re: Week 6 wk 1

Congrats! I have 2 weeks left in the app and each week is so exciting. I've done two 5ks and I've improved so much because of this app. It's a great feeling to cross the finish line. It's addicting! You will love it! Keep up the great work!
