Re: Ideas for improving pace?

Hi Steph, how are you? I've just finished the programme today with a 30 minute run (bit of a delay but got there in the end). I also need to improve my pace and I am thinking about doing the whole programme again, but with Week 1 on the 8 one minute runs to run faster than usual pace and so on. What...

Re: Week 7

Have finished Week 7 but am continuing to repeat 25 minute runs until I have definitely got it before I move on to Week 8. Am going skiing for a week on Saturday and bit worried about lack of continuity - will try to find a gym in resort so I can at least do a couple of runs in the week. My partner ...

Re: Week 7

I must say it really helps my motivation and courage to know that there are other people all over the place going through the exact same thing. When I look at my shadow when I run, I do NOT look like a runner (way slow!), but my heart is building and my courage is increasing with every run. And to a...

Re: Week 7

Well, just did the 10+10 at the 3rd attempt! And outside too, so no longer a treadmill fraudster! This running game is full of highs and lows isnt it?!

Re: Please Help! Week 6 Struggles!

Well just conquered my 10+10 on the 3rd attempt. It was also the first run I had done outside, not on the treadmill and without music too. Really windy - not used to that! Anyway, pleased I've done it now, onto the 25 minute day after tomorrow. I think I'm learning that the key thing here is mental ...

Re: Week 7

I should have started week 7 last week, but am still rerunning week 6 because the 10+10 is still beating me. I do feel that theres no rush though and I'd rather take more time and know that I have mastered it before I move on to the next week. Its frustrating though, having made so much progress pre...

Please Help! Week 6 Struggles!

After the Week 5 20 minute run, I was so pleased with my progress. But now it all seems to be going in the wrong direction and I could get really despondent. Please help! I've followed every week every run to the letter so far and not failed one second of running. Wk 6 Run 1 was just about ok, but R...

Re: Treadmill Fraudster?!

Thanks Guys, your comments have all made me feel much better. Starting Week 6 this morning and still on the treadmill, but yesterday I did a 5k power walk outside and found a really nice 2 mile route I have measured which I think will be a really good place to start running outside (once the garmin ...

Treadmill Fraudster?!

I've just finished Week 5 Run 3 - the 20 minute run and I am so so pleased. But I do feel like I might be a bit of a fraud because I have done all my runs so far on the treadmill in the gym. I am a super slow runner (1k takes about 9 and a half minutes, I am quite short and I think my stride is real...
