Re: Treadmill Fraudster?!

Yeh I would see if they would let you have a trial session Angus. I did the 25 mins on the road today and did it without any problems. I don't know why I found the treadmill so hard, my H found it easier than road running.

Re: Trying to get started

Well done for making a start! The first couple of weeks are the hardest and the biggest leap if you're going from doing no exercise at all. You will get through it though...you'll probably feel loads better after your next go!

Re: Treadmill Fraudster?!

I did my first ever treadmill run the other day for w6r3 as the weather was appalling. I found it incredibly hard and totally failed the run! In fact I started week 6 ahain because of that run and have gone back to strictly road running as I found that much easier! So don't feel like you're cheating...

Re: Did my first run - feel like I'm going to die!!!

Run 2 is the same so just to for it. I would finish week one and if you're still finding it hard, then repeat the week. I'm sure you'll be fine by the end of the week though and ready to move onto week two. It DOES get easier :)

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

I did it! Thanks for the words of encouragement :D The first ten minutes was hard work but I reminded myself I had already done 8 mins on the previous run and I could do it. Turned round for the last ten and it was relatively easy! It went by so quickly and the sun came out just as I did the last mi...

Re: Week 5 run 3 - solid 20 mins (eek!)

Hi everyone! This is my first post I've loved reading about all your experiences with the get running app. Anyway, today I finished w5d2 and was horrified when I looked to the next run to see I am expected to run a whole 20 minutes! Without a break  I found 2x8 ok, not amazing but i got throu...
