Re: 20 minutes!!! Oh lord help me!

shjones, good luck! Hope you are able to maintain your momentum! aimeea, congrats on the 20 min!! That is great. As for me, I didn't do it. As I stated earlier, I had resigned myself to not doing the run today, then I felt guilty so I went to the gym. Well, I wasn't in the right frame of mind, as I ...

Re: 20 minutes!!! Oh lord help me!

Thanks, Pushingit! I am leaving shortly for my run. I usually go first thing in the AM but I decided I wasn't going to go today. But then I felt guilty. So now I am going! I will post when I return!

Re: 20 minutes!!! Oh lord help me!

Well, I did W5R2. The last 3-4 min were really strenuous but I did it. I really can't imagine doing the 20 min on Saturday. It is scaring me! But, I will try and hopefully succeed. My breathing is still not where I want it to be, but hopefully it will fall into place one day. shjones, did you get to...

shjones, I hope you are able to do the 20 min soon! I am on W5 as well. My 20 min run will be on Saturday. Ugh. But tomorrow is R2, so we shall see how the 8 min goes first!

Re: run 1 week 4 HELP!!!

Hi Jenna, About repeating weeks, so far I only repeated W4 when I was unable to do the 3 runs due to going out of town and now sickness. So, tomorrow I will repeat W4 again, with hopes of getting through the week. If you have done all the runs successfully (even if not lovingly!), then I would move ...

Re: run 1 week 4 HELP!!!

So, how is everyone doing in W4 or W5, at this point? I was out of town for a bit, so I only did the W4R1 last week and then repeated W4 this week. I did W4R2 today and while it was better than R1 this past Tuesday, those last 5 minutes are still a struggle. I have completed all the runs, so I am pl...

Re: run 1 week 4 HELP!!!

I just completed W4R1 and it was HARD!! I finished it but I didn't enjoy it. I still haven't figured out my breathing. Every once in a while, I get a deep breath in but it is still challenging. I do hope, like you all, that this becomes a bit easier! I am gong away this week and won't be able to com...

Re: Week 1 Run 1 Done!

Rick, Sounds like you are in a great frame of mind! That is definitely necessary to do the program as well. Just like weight loss, you have to want to do it. No one can force you and if you get defeated, remember you *want* to do it! I just did my W3R1 and I did complete it. I have to say it was dif...

Re: Week 1 Run 1 Done!

Rfiveh, runs are going well, thanks! I begin week 3 tomorrow. Slightly nervous about the 3 min run but I know I can do it. I have actually surprised myself. The running hasn't been as awful as I anticipated. The only run after which I was sore the next day was W1R1. My body wasn't used to all that s...

Re: Treadmill Speeds...HELP!

I am on week 2 and doing the program on the treadmill as well. After reading many threads on this forum, I decided my goal was to run at a pace where I wouldn't be overly exerting myself to where I couldn't finish (but still getting a great workout and turning very red!). My plan is to also up my MP...
