Apprehensive about week 4!
Hi everyone, I've managed all my week 3 runs - but when I say 'managed', I mean that I've run when I'm supposed to run, walked when I'm meant to walk ... I'm a wreck at the end of every session, barely able to hold a conversation when I walk through the door and then the rest of my evening seems to ...

What's happening to our forum?
What is happening to our forum? I'm not interested in ghd posts or Calvin Klein boxers! It seems half the recent posts on here have been added to by these silly meaningless plugs. Is there any way they can be deleted to allow the forum to return to what it is meant to be?

Re: Absolute beginner seeks reassurance fast!
Hi DesertBloom - you're right, we're at exactly the same stage! Week 3 starts tomorrow! Feeling apprehensive to say the very least .... But has there been a run ghat I haven't felt apprehensive about? I'm glad that this post is helping the other newbies to prepare for what lies ahead! The second run...

Re: Run #1 under my belt!
All the best! I'm about to start week 3! It's a great program if you're 'going it alone' as I am! 'claire' is good company, very calm and never nags! The perfect running partner!

Re: Suitable footwear and bra advice please ??
I've just bought a Freya sports bra from bravissimo. It's brilliant! It's actually sn unerwired one and doesn't look that different from a conventional bra. So comfortable and keeps everything nicely where it should be!

Re: Help!!!!
Hi Mandy,
Really hope you've managed to get out. If not, how about running early in the morning instead? It'll be a really positive way to start your day and you know you'll feel so much better after you've done it!
All the best, x

Re: Absolute beginner seeks reassurance fast!
Hi guys, just a week on from my last post and here I am having completed week 2, run 2! I'm still waiting for it to get easy - but the last 3 runs have been nowhere like as hard as the second one! I'm also still waiting for my dress size to drop down two notches (very encouraging Aimee!) ... But I W...

Re: Absolute beginner seeks reassurance fast!
Aimee, I think we have a fair bit in common - more pressure for you now ... I'll be following your progress! I start week 2 tomorrow - and though I've no intention of throwing in the towel, I'm better prepared for knowing that it will be tough for a good while yet! Well done on your achievement so f...

Re: Absolute beginner seeks reassurance fast!
Thank you Mandy and Neil Neil, I've just read your blog! Very entertaining. You're clearly made of sterner stuff than I am ... 5 runs a week ... Wow! I will continue to 'dig deep' afterall, the 8 minutes of running that I did thisevening is 8 minutes more than I did in the whole of last month! Thank...
