It's been emotional
But tomorrow is my very last run on this program. I have done the first 2 runs of week 9, and just the last one to go. This program has been excellent, and has actually made me enjoy running, knowing I have had a goal to aim at. I am looking forward to keeping up my running, and have already decided...

Re: Wk 1 Run 1 Tried and failed miserably!
I think we have all found it difficult, i could hardly breath after my first set of runs, but it does work. I am overweight, and have been unfit for years, but I have managed to complete my first run of week 9 today. I think it is a great idea to have a target, I have the same, and this keeps me mot...

I quite like it in the rain, I went yesterday, it was slight drizzle, so kept me nice and cool. Glad I missed the downpour though!

Re: Ridiculous heat!
I know the feeling, im in Essex, so not too far away. I have been waiting until the early evening to go out, so it is still warm, but not as hot as during the day. The other option is going out early, but i am not a morning person!

Re: W6 R1 Complete - Could I actually be enjoying this?
I do the same, i go to the gym as well, and I think this has given me extra stamina. However yesterday I did week 8 run 1, and felt really strong, kept my best pace I had in over the entire program so far, but I put that down to actually having taken 2 days off any sort of training.

Re: Complete beginner!! Needing some reassurance!!
As everyone else has said, it does work! I started on week 1, and was shattered, and thought there was no way I would be able to run 30 minutes in just 9 weeks time. However yesterday I just completed Week 8 Run 1. I would never have thought i could have got this far, it is challenging, but not impo...

Re: GUESS WHAT!
well done, I have just done W7 R1 today, so good to be on the home straight now as such. No more running then walking etc. I have been tracking my distances, and managed to do 3.52km today in the 25 mins, so I wont be doing 5k in 30 minutes either. I plan to move onto the bridge to 10k plan though t...
