My reality - 6 months to get to 20 minutes
Well actually 9 months, but 3 months injury around the middle somewhere (so I took to biking until the injury was healed)! I just wanted to say to everyone out there who reaches a point where they think they cannot do it, and loses motivation, that you can !!!! I have been determined, from the start...

I have just come in from finishing week 4 for the second time (so 6 x w4 runs in all) and still can't quite do it. The first 2 I ever did I completed, but the last 4 have been awful. During the second 5 minute run, I have to walk for about 20 seconds in the middle, then I finish it off - I just can'...

Just give it a go, you will probably be pleasantly surprised. I managed it on the first go, and it had taken me weeks to get to week 3. The program is designed to build up ur stamina, so really u should only walk for the time it tells you Good luck

Apart from a 15 second walk in the middle of the second 5 min run, I did it. Hopefully I wont need that on Friday. Nearly there

Thanks Bigsvig, it's still eluding me but I'm not gonna stop until I can do it again (three times in a row), then I'll move onto week 5. But I am so determined, and thanks for the post

It helped me!! Struggling with week 4! I'm fine until the last long run and that's it I'm nearly in tears too!!
