Re: Let me re-introduce myself

Hi I'm going out for week 5 run3 tonight, I'm going to take it fairly steady from here anyway, it's good to know there's someone else out there, these forums are very quiet theses days.

Let me re-introduce myself

Hello, allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is Simon, (obviously!), I'm 44 and from Swansea in the UK. I first used this app about 3 years ago, but a few weeks after completing the programme, without the pressure from the app, I went back to doing nothing, after about a year, I tried again with ...

Re: Any other newby's out there?!

This is my second time on the program since completing it in the summer, then only running a couple of times after until my new years resolution to get back out there, so I ran wk6r3 today. I can't say I enjoy running as such but I kind of look forward to it and enjoy the feeling of having completed...

Re: Going to start today-- nervous.

How did it go? I like you was a fairly active 42, but too busy to exercise, I found though I was able to force myself for just the 30 minutes or so of each run. I completed the programme last summer, but without the motivation of making the next step, I soon found I was again 'too busy to run', unti...

Re: My reality - 6 months to get to 20 minutes

That's fantastic, well done! You showed amazing determination to get through it, the 20 minutes is really the 'hump' , I won't say it gets easier but it only gets fractionally harder each time. Stick with it, you've got it!!

Re: Any other newby's out there?!

As a graduate of the program who has lapsed and now I'm back after 4 months, I can tell you from experience, don't worry about looking weeks in advance thinking ' I can't , by the time you get there, you'll be ready, it's like any new skill, jump to the last chapter of any 'teach yourself' manual an...

Re: everyone who has restarted the programme

I completed the program in July but after just a couple of runs , life got in the way. So here I am, new years resolution in hand, completed wk1 r1. I found it quite easy though, and was just getting into my stride when she told me to stop, so I don't know whether to continue on schedule and get my ...

Re: A graduate checking in.....

Hi guys, nice to see a couple of old friends doing well, for myself, after completing the program in the summer, life got in the way and I only managed a couple of runs before stopping. So here I am back at square one with a new years resolution to run again. Although with torrential rain and a heav...

Re: Rest days?

I think in the early days rest days are important as your body gets used to moving again, and towards the end you will need the recovery time, but in-between times, I would say listen to your own body and if you feel like it, as Nike would say, just do it!

Allow me to re-introduce myself

Most of you won't know me, but I completed this app in July, and found it a brilliant tool to get me moving, however, after just a couple of runs afterwards, without the motivation of the app, and with a couple of pressures from life outside of running, I stopped running. Now, however, motivated by ...
