Re: Back to it

Well done for getting back to it, I think last Christmas was a popular time for it my daughter had a similar thing which took 2 courses of antibiotics to get over. She is just about back to normal now but I haven't been able to get her out running as she still finds the breathing difficult. She has ...

Starting again :(

I am back on week 1 - I graduated in October last year and was quite happy plodding along - then it got dark and cold and I eventually fizzled out to nothing - put back on at least half of the weight I lost - so this week I have restarted on week 1, feeling like a bit of a failure but enjoying being...

Re: everyone who has restarted the programme

I completed back in September and then the mornings became darker and it got cold and as much as I tried to keep going over the winter I really only enjoy running at 6 in the morning and as I run along an unlit canal path it's not an option in the darker months although I have done a bit. So this we...

Re: Advice for running in the cold?

Yes I'm struggling with this too - I've moved onto a long sleeved running top that I bought from next years ago and I've got 3/4 length Nike running tights which have just about had it so I'm going to get some full length ones next week. I'd also like some advise on running with the air quality with...

Re: A scared smoker

Honestly the hardest part is getting out the front door. And if on day 1 you only manage 2 of the runs - who cares, you got out there and got started. It took me 6 weeks to reach week 2 (I have the over weight issue rather than the smoking issue.) and two weeks ago I finished week 9. It's not a race...

Re: EXHUSTED after a run

What/when are you eating beforehand? If you're tanks are empty you're going to be exhausted. If you're trying to diet alongside the programme maybe you're not eating enough or not eating the right things to give energy that maybe the problem. I always feel quite bright after a run but do need a sit ...

Pacing in different terrain

Hello all - finally finished he programme this week and this morning was such a stunning day I went for a 3 mile run (bit of walking) in the woods. Up until now all my runs have been on a nice flat canal path or nearby road when that was flooded. I had a brilliant time really enjoyed it but my stats...

Re: On week 3 and going strong!

Hi Becca Well done on getting started, yes it took a long time before I wasn't wishing the you can walk now command came sooner. I remember the first couple of weeks, which I did on a treadmill, jabbing urgently at the slow down button. So much better running outside. Yes it also definitely gets eas...
