Hi Amanda. I am in the same boat. Been overwhelmed the last few weeks and haven't run in three weeks. I"m going to go back to week 6 and see how it goes. How are you doing after your break?

Been so sick and busy
Between my kids going back to school, ME going back to school and doing an internship, then a nasty head/chest cold, I haven't run in 3 weeks! I'm going to go back to week 6 and start from there again. I hope that three weeks off isn't going to be too awful for me, but I have a feeling I'll be strug...

Re: Treadmill speed
I keep my runs at 4.2 mph. 4.5 was just too much for my short legs and 4.0 felt too slow. I say whatever speed works best for YOU is what you should be doing. Endurance now, speed later.
Best of Luck!

Re: Finished Week 5 Run 3 and feeling...despondent
HI! I understand. I struggled through the 20 minute run as well. In fact, on my first try, I only completed 18 minutes. And I completely them rather slowly. But then I realized, that just a few weeks ago, I struggled with running 3 minutes. Look at how far you've come!!!!! 20 minutes of running is a...

Re: Week 6 Run 3
I find the first half of ANY run to be the hardest. I think for me, it's a head game. I'm counting UP until I reach halfway, then after that I count DOWN to the end. You're doing GREAT, keep it up!

20 MINUTES.......ALMOST
Well, after struggling through the 8 minute runs (twice), I decided to try the 20 minute run. I made it for 18 minutes! I'm planning to re-run this one on Thursday, because I really want that full 20 minutes. BUT....WOW, I'm so proud of myself for lasting as long as I did. Just one week ago, I didn'...
