Re: Roll of honour
Name: fatguy Location: Massachusetts, USA Graduation: November 20, 2013 Just completed week 9 today! So happy with what I've accomplished! I actually ran the week 9 runs for 40 minutes instead of 30. Thinking back, I can hardly believe the difficulty I had merely getting through week 1. This program...

Re: Help!!
Completed week 1, run 2!!! I listened to others and reduced speed. I'm doing this on a treadmill and reduced running speed from 6mph to 5mph. Feeling great! Thanks for advice. Back to it on Sunday!

Help!!
Just started yesterday. I made it through BARELY! What the hell is wrong with me? I need to hear from folks who could hardly breathe during week 1 and are seeing success. Run 2 is tomorrow and I am more than a bit discouraged! How did I get this way? My kids love to run around and their fat dad (40l...

Re: Week 5 run 3
Completed W5r2 today! 2nd run much more comfortable than the 1st. I actually made the second run about 3-4 minutes longer by accident. I looked down at my smartphone during the 2nd run expecting to see 3-4 minutes remaining...shocked to see 7:24 remaining! I accidentally paused the run! After calcul...

Re: Just completed W5R3
The dreaded W5 begins on Friday! Continued success to fellow w5ers! I hope to be a proud member of the w5r3 fraternity/sorority next Tuesday! Don't want to jinx myself, but not too worried about w5r1 (we had 5 minute runs already). W5r2 @ 8 minutes I'm a bit concerned to put it politely! Don't even ...

Re: Week 5 Run 3 OMG!!!
Good job Plummy!
I'll be watching to see how you do. I've made up my mind to move onward and upward to w5! This 40 something WILL do this even if it kills me!

Re: Week 5 Run 3 OMG!!!
Congratulations! I just finished w4r3 today. On to w5! I am a bit worried as w4 was certainly difficult. Managed to run every second as called for but still rather winded. I'm not sure if I'm ready for w5?? Hopefully next week I'm just as excited and have a w5r3 success story! Was w4 difficult for y...

Re: Weight loss!
About to do w4r3 and have experienced zero weightloss through these 4 weeks. (need to lose about 30lbs) Admittedly have not changed my diet, but I thought for sure I would get some results in this area going from doing nothing to this program. Is this normal? Will my body adjust at some point and st...
