everyone who has restarted the programme

Hi, So I see a lot of posts from people who got quite far, maybe even completed Get Running, and then for some reason (medical/lifestyle etc) ceased running and are now doing it all over again. I started Get Running back in the spring and was on Week 9 just as injury struck. I'm trying to get out th...

wind-down exercise timings

Hi all, I know it's important to stretch at the end of a jog, but this is my question: sometimes after running I might continue walking for another 20/30 mins. Is it best to do stretching exercises right at the end i.e. after you've completed ALL activity, or is it best to do them quite soon after f...

Re: Restart C25K

Perhaps it only feels more difficult because you're comparing it with how you felt at your peak? You must have fond memories of running once you'd mastered the programme before - but may have brushed aside thought of how hard it was initially. I'm sure it will come back soon :)

Re: Beginner

That's great, well done. I'm on week 7 and can only encourage you to keep going, even when/if you feel like quitting. The first couple of weeks I wanted to go out every day, then I hit a harder patch in the middle, but now I'm back to loving it. As someone who isn't very fit and doesn't do much exer...

Re: Week 5 Run 3

Hi Shona, I found it tricky, but I managed it, and felt fine after 15 mins had passed. I then found the next run very simple (going back down to intervals), and amazed myself with how comfortable I was with the 25-min run. My advice is to make sure that you're running in the conditions that work for...

Re: Finished Week 5 Run 3 and feeling...despondent

Thank you  You’re very encouraging!
I did the next one today and felt much, much better about it. It was very nice being back to intervals (can I use them all the time?! :P) and I guess everything less than 20 minutes will now feel easier in comparison.

Finished Week 5 Run 3 and feeling...despondent

So it seems like week 5 run 3 is the really big milestone, that everyone is initially terrified of, and then ecstatic at finishing. I was dreading it, and managed to complete it, but to my surprise I’m just really despondent and worried about what comes next. I think there is an assumption that if y...

Some questions (currently on week 4)

Hi :) Got a few questions about the program. - I'm aware people sometimes repeat weeks rather than go onto the next one. Is it ok to repeat just one session rather than a whole week? - When should you try to repeat/go on? Is it best to keep going, and pushing yourself, if you can, or should you wait...
