Re: W4 R1

Well done! I am on week 3 and looking back, running a minute seems easy now! Although my knee has been given me problems so maybe my body is telling me I'm not as good as I think I am! Lol

Well done again!

My knee!!

Ouch!

My left knee hurts. It niggled yesterday during run and I iced/elevated it.

This morning, it doesn't hurt as such, but going up and down stairs I can feel a 'nervy' pain.

Any ideas?

Skipped Week 2 - is this ok?

Hi everyone - I have enjoyed the programme so far and can feel my cardio fitness increasing in all areas of my life. I ran W2R1 and felt 'comfortable', and so decided today to skip to Week 3. It was tough, I pushed it, but managed the 3 minutes each time (even with a sore knee!) Is this ok to do this?

Re: I think I became a runner today!

Well done!

I've heard lots of people mention the 'religious moment' that you do and can only hope that that comes to me one day. It is still an 'effort' to put one foot in front of the other whilst running so really hoping I can get to that stage!

Congratulations again :D

Re: On Week 2 - Legs sore!! Trainers to blame?

Yes I think you are right! The reason I ran on a sand beach? So that no one would see me! Same reason I went out in the p!ssing rain, I knew no-one would be in the park at that time so that motivated me. I am by no means a heffer or completely awful sight, but I'm almost 'embarrassed' at the stoppin...

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Hey everyone! I'm Stacey and from Fife in Scotland. I just completed Week 2 run 1 this morning. I am loving the programme and how it builds you up. Hoping to continue and be able to complete the course! I'm having fun learning about all the different gadgets available - and the fashions!! It's like ...

Re: On Week 2 - Legs sore!! Trainers to blame?

Thanks all. Yes, you are both probably right. I think I will go another couple of runs and see if it eases off (or I keep it up!) I find the whole 'running' business phenomenal - everything is so expensive! I bought an arm band for my iPhone for £2.95 from ebay, in the running shop, it is £19!! :x M...

Re: On Week 2 - Legs sore!! Trainers to blame?

Yeh I was afraid that's what people were going to write! The thing is, I'm known for eh... 'giving up' on things, and whilst I am really enjoying it at the minute, that's not to say I'll be enjoying it in a few weeks time, hence not wanting to spend a whole lot of money at the one time. I wonder if ...

On Week 2 - Legs sore!! Trainers to blame?

Hi all, Firstly, what a fantastic app! And I have been reading the forums on the quiet to get inspiration for my running. W1R1 I ran on a sand beach - mistake! Literally felt like my lungs and face were on fire - I was beetroot! But finished the full programme. W1R2 I ran at a park which has a few (...
