Re: Roll of honour 

Name: Sarah Area: Toyko, Japan Completed: 14 September 2012 Comments: Loved it! Can't believe I made it too the end of the programme without flaking but the app really kept me focused on getting out and running as much as possible. I found week 7 and 8 the hardest for some reason, it was a real ment...

Re: Slower than a speeding bullet! 12 minute mile!

Well, I guess it depends on how you are measuring it and what your focus is. If it makes you feel better, I also just completed w7r1 today and my average mile is around 13.43 min/mile, so you are certainly faster than me! However, if I look at my split, my fastest mile in any one run is usually arou...

Re: w6r2 Fail!!

Thanks for all of the tips. I ended up having a three day break (I was only planning on two but got a migraine yesterday :( ) and today I went to the gym and repeated w6r2 on the TM. It was awesome and no problem. I deliberately set my speed low for the first ten minutes and only a little faster for...

Re: Motivation for the program

Hi Mummyrita, I think they sound like great motivators! I tend to reward myself with more fitness gear, or new running shoes etc. For example, after I completed the first four weeks, I went out and got myself some new runners. When I get to the end of the programme, I think I will buy some nice gear...

Re: w6r2 Fail!!

Thanks Jbutler, I guess I just have to get a bit harder and keep on going! I was running first thing in the morning (before breakfast) so I can't attribute it to food or drink. I would be curious to know what else triggers stitch?

w6r2 Fail!!

So I started c25k in the middle of July and have been going great guns, no injuries or problem completing the runs, even the 20 min w5r3 was no problem and I even repeated it on the treadmill over the weekend just for kicks. W6r1 was also fine (not easy but ok) so I was sure two ten minute runs woul...

Re: W2r1: got tangled up with park run

Good on you for keeping on going with your run ;). Regarding the rest days I tend to run every other day (so I don't take the two day break), seems to be enough recovery time for me and I like to think I have a two day break up my sleeve to use when ever I want to (or need it!). That said, I started...

Re: Help and advice please!

I have also started the app while on holiday and have been doing really well too. I am up to W5/R2 tomorrow. I have been wondering what it would be like to run back home and if it would be harder. Maybe it is because you are running a different route which is harder? Also, maybe you are a bit more d...

Re: W3R1 here I come!

I am feeling the same way lizmizje! I am on w4r3 and feel like a new person since starting this programme a few weeks back, I love reading about other peoples enthusiasm for it too, so keep us posted! My biggest problem is not going out and running every day and realising that the rest days are just...

Re: When do you run?

I run/exercise in the mornings first thing (between 6.30am - 7.30am). I like the cooler temperature and that there are not a whole lot of people around to see me staggering along! Also, I just like to get it out of the way early so I can go through my day feeling energised and not having to worry ab...
