Re: Motivation for the program

My motivation is a little different. I've spent a decade being out of shape with many failed exercise regimes. I got to the point where I said to myself "You owe yourself 12 weeks. Follow this program through to its conclusion, become a 20-30 minute runner. Take whatever pain comes. And at the ...

Re: And so it begins

W2R2-3 Cusheybutterfield: you were so, so right. The second run was much more bearable. It's hard to believe it came just two days after I had struggled so much with the first run. Heck, it was a breeze. I completed the third run of the week this morning, and that too was absolutely fine. The inter...

Re: Ready to quit, and move on to something new

I think you should do what you're comfortable with. I had a similar experience with kettlebells. I loved everything about the idea of them - cheap equipment, could be used in a small space at any time of day, a total variation of exercises, short workout sessions, and both builds strength and zaps o...

And so it begins

Evening all. I've been flirting with jogging for 10 years now. I've attempted various plans on a number of occasions, but never got past week three. Lack of motivation, pain, smoker's lungs...whatever the reason, I've always quit. But recently I've discovered some fire; a number of things in my life...
