Re: End of Week One :)

Congrats on finishing week 1! I was elated when I was able to complete W1R1! Keep up the good work and you will be amazed how much stronger you are feeling after each week. I am at W4R2 (again). Sunday will be W4R3 and anxious to see how W5 goes. I keep telling myself that I am a runner now when I w...

Re: Anyone run with their dogs???

I have been walking with my dog, a Welsh Springer Spaniel, since the first of January. I've started the program 4 weeks ago and Keeley goes with on every run. I live in the country and in a development that has a single entrance/exit. Keeley knows the route and is just happy to be able to run free a...

Re: Breathing?

Good morning...I just finished week 3 run 2 this morning and my breathing is getting better. I think part of it is getting used to the running and finding my pace - which is a slow run/jog. I laugh when the program says to slow down (to get thru the 3 min run this week) as I can't get any slower - o...

My husband makes fun of my music choices but I love the variety and hit the shuffle everytime I go so it's always di...

Re: Week One Run One!

Good Luck! I just started this morning and excited for Friday's run. I love that the program tells me what to do and I can listen to my own music at the same time on my Ipod Touch.

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Hi, my name is Heather and I'm 41. I never thought I would become a runner....always a diehard walker. But after jogging/walking my first 5k this past weekend I decided to actually start training officially to RUN a 5k this year. My goal is weight loss and finally to get healthy after 41 years. My r...

Breathing?

I just started the Get Running program this morning. My husband even joined me and my Welsh Springer Spaniel - Keeley. It felt good but what is the best way to breathe? In thru the nose and out thru your mouth? Deep breathes or shallow? After the 4th 1 min run I felt so out of breath but kept pushin...
