Re: Running Shoes
Ps I also went to a specialist running shop and had a gait analysis done. Also well worth it.

Re: Running Shoes
Hey, I can vouch for Mizuno running shoes too. Mine cost around £75 but were well worth it (and hell I wouldn't pay £75 for normal shoes!!) I hadn't heard of them before either but tried on asics and Nike shoes too and the Mizunos were far comfier from the off. I've always had problems with my knees...

Re: Roll of honour
Name: Zoe Area: Kent Completed: September 7 2010 Comments:I am 38 and have tried (unsuccessfully) over the years to run - I've lost count of how many times. It was not until I stumbled across this app that I was able to really stick with it and succeed. By the end of the programme I am running 3.5 m...

Re: Anyone else using runkeeper with getrunning?
Hi yes I use runkeeper too - username zozobythesea.
Am on week eight at the moment, but going v slowly as I've developed a cold/ sore throat. Cutting back on time/ pace until it's over but I must say getting out and running does actually seem to be helping with recovery - bonus!

Re: Finished week 5 Woo Hoo!
Well done to everyone! I too completed the 20 minute run at week 5 run 3 tonight. Been dreading it but it went fine, though it was a hot night to run and I was rather purple faced by the end of it! The app is great. Been trying to run on and off for years. Get this app and I'm at 20 mins of running ...

Re: Proper running shoes - get them!
I second that. Got fitted for and bought running shoes recently after a bout of knee pain. Had a week off to let the knees rest, and started up again with the new shoes. I can really notice the difference - no knee problems and even the rest seemed to do me some good because as soon as I started bac...

Knee Discomfort
Hello So glad I bought the Get Running app - it is fab! I've tried running in the past but never stuck with it consistently. It's great to have everything laid out for you and I actually look forward to running now - which is a miracle. I have a question for everyone out there. I'm due to start week...
