Help - 10K

Any advice please - my first 10k run is in a week on 12th sept, am doing it for charity which is brilliant motivation. I have been building up to it and been doing ok with 10K program. But. Have been ill for the last week so have not trained for 8 days, and still not feeling 100%. How do I get back ...

I have entered a 10k on the 12th sept! Complete madness but it's sponsored to raise money for MBM which I do voluntary work for so have the motivation as everyone obviously has faith in me! It's going to be a challenge so will keep on at it, I still can't get over the fact that I enjoy running :-)

I finished yesterday! It's something I never thought I could achieve, I remember looking at this thread weeks ago and being amazed that people could run for 30mins, now I am one of them :-) still need to work on the distance but going to keep at it. Thanks Get Running!!

I lost weight quite quickly at the start but it has slowed right down now, however as a couple of others have said my shape is still changing with my waist measurement still going down and am getting more toned especially my legs!! Still working at eating healthily and resisting chocolate cravings :...

Hi I'm hellen, have just done week 7 run 2! Started just by walking back in march as was v overweight with high blood pressure and mental health problems. I have now lost almost 3 stone, bp v healthy and feeling great mentally too! I now have got decent shoes which have helped and run in local woods...
