Re: W2R1 fail!

Still a bit sore this morning, hoping to be able to attempt it again tomorrow. I probably just have to get used to it, I've gone from doing zero exercise so my muscles are probably in shock! But I shall persevere :-)

W2R1 fail!

Had to stop halfway because my calves cramped and no matter how much I stretched they wouldn't let go. I thought I would vomit it was hurting so much. So gutted and cross. They are still hurting now after an hour and a shower. Going to have a bath and see if that helps. Dammit!

Re: Quick question

It is probably the stretching, I'll stop halfway and stretch some more next time and see if it helps. A big part of me just thinks I'm too heavy to run, as I'm only 5' 2" and 7.5st overweight :-/

Quick question

I've just finished week one, and while I'm really enjoying it I find that during the walk intervals my calves go rock hard and feel like they could burst. Is that normal? They feel fine when I'm actually jogging?!

Re: New to Running

I've just finished week one, and as I'm 7 stone overweight I was expecting it to be excruciating, but I'm pleasantly surprised! My calves feel like they may burst sometimes but I don't go into cardiac arrest like I was expecting! It is so much fun, and I'm glad I've found someone who is also just be...

Re: Where to buy good running shoes?

This is very good advice. I have only just recently started jogging and the trainers I bought are awful! They kill my feet, and it turns out its because they are high arch shoes whereas I have very low arches! It's definitely worth taking the time to find out what you need as it saves unnecessary pa...
