Re: Anyone running in 2020?

Yep! Did this app several years ago and eventually went on to do a half marathon - so it definitely works! Sadly life and cakes came along. I decided to do this programme again as something positive to achieve during this period of lockdown. Currently just finished wk4 run1 and it feels good to be m...

Re: Lost my Mojo

Hi. I had that feeling too around the end of 5 / start of 6. For me it was a change of music (I listened to an audio book actually), scaling my pace right back so I was running comfortably and giving myself a bit of a mental kick up the backside.. "think about how far you've got, not how far yo...

Re: Come say hello!

Hi Katie. Well done! I'm almost envious that you're just starting out, stick with it; there's a lot of satisfaction waiting to be had over the next couple of weeks! Wow, I think 30C would about finish me off - it's 5C here and that's plenty for me when I get going. :) I've just started wk6 and I sti...

Re: Come say hello!

Hi Sue. Good on you for getting back into it. I know I was speaking to someone at work who ran a marathon over the summer and then developed an injury. She said how quickly you can get out of practice and shape! A gentle reminder to me to keep it up when I get to the end of the programme I think! It...

Re: Started today!

Hey. Well done! The hardest bit is starting, so congrats. The main tips I've discovered so far are how much difference a decent pair of properly fitted running shoes makes, and to take the pace nice and slow. Keep up the good work!

Re: Terrible knee pain after week two.

Hi there There's a few things I would suggest: - Get some good quality running shoes professionally fitted at a running shop. Only go somewhere where they actually get you to run and examine your gait. Ill-fitting shoes can throw all your running action out and cause these aches and pains. I got som...

Come say hello!

Hi all I thought it might be nice to start a new thread to gather together everyone who is following the program at the moment. Bit of moral support and all that! I'm at the end of week 4 and once I get out of the house I love it. :) I've found the weeks consistently challenging from the very first ...
