I am now a RUNNER!!!

I have Graduated from the C25K programme and can now call myself a RUNNER!!! I have loved this app, from the first week to the last! Looking back to my first run, I could not even do all 8 one minute runs without stopping for breath, and now, I regularly run 5K four, sometimes five times a week! My ...

Keep up the good work!!

It's a great feeling when you progress through the weeks, becoming fitter and leaner.

Have fun and enjoy!

Re: Week 8

Today was my Week 8 Run 2, I did it, but was so tired, as I have just finished working eleven shifts in 10 days without a day off, and I have been running every third day as well!!!! Luckily, I now have some time off to recover, and enjoy my last Week 8 run before progressing to Week 9, and GRADUATI...

Re: I just rocked week seven!

Well Done!!!

I too have just completed Week 7....

Run one was a struggle, Run 2 fantastic, and Run 3 today was great until the last 5 minutes, but I think my pace was too fast and I just ran out of energy!

Re: Help!Week 2 and already struggling!

Keep going!!! I felt like giving up after week 1, but kept at it and am now starting week 7, three 25 minute runs! You will slowly feel yourself get fitter, you will run for longer, you will recover more quickly during the walks, but it's a gradual thing. Just enjoy and go at your own pace. Good luc...

Re: Week Eight - Tough

I am just starting week 7, all long runs. I eat a protein bar about two hours before I plan to run, and in that time leading up to the run drink about 500 mls of fluid, either water or an electrolyte drink. I have started to change my route, going further afield instead of just running round the sam...

Re: Week 5 Run 3... Ouch

I am finding it a struggle as well....

I have repeated W5 R1 & R2 over two weeks, but can't run for 20 minutes!!!

I am determined to do it though - I have done W5 R1 today, will do R2 on two days time, and hopefully R3 two days after that!

Re: Running with a hangover

I ran with a bit of a hangover on Tuesday - it was awful, I did not enjoy it at all! I was running W4R2, my head was banging, I was hot, and probably dehydrated. I finished it, I think my run was slower than my walk, but had a headache for the rest of the day. Never again! Even if I have to miss a d...
