Re: Roll of honour 

Finished on Friday. It took me 5 months, courtesy of a few setbacks; plantar fasciitis, medication problems for depression (why I began in the first place) but I did it and want to shout out to the world!!!!! Thankyou. :D

Re: Wk 8 feeling good!

Hi Riley, I've just finished run 1 week 8, so hello! I was struggling with some nausea just after 15 minutes, but I had just been reading about disable athlete Kurt Fearnley's time in the Chicago marathon, and I tried to focus on that to push me through it. Otherwise feeling pretty good. So are you ...

Re: Wk 7 done

Hi, I'm at the same point as you and have found the longer runs intensely challenging. The first run for 20 mins without stopping in wk 5 was probably the worst, and I feel it was about breaking through a mental barrier. I had to do that one twicw because i bailed at 15 mins and promptly sprawled on...

Re: W5R3 20 min done!

Fantastic! I did this run yesterday as well although I just couldn't make the final five minutes. I'm not beating myself up about it...I'll give it another try in a day or two, and now I know it can be done, I'm hopeful the psychological barrier will be less of a hurdle. I'll also choose a flatter r...

Re: Help!Week 2 and already struggling!

Hi Sugar, I was ill for a while, but am very, very proud to advise I've just finished Week 5...I will admit to failing the full 20 mins but I did make it to 15 without stopping. (Excuses include a 50knot headwind and a slightly uphill bit of road....). I may look at giving it another shot before mov...

Re: Help!Week 2 and already struggling!

I hope your struggles are less intense and you haven't given up. I'm struggling in week 4. I've tried one of the runs twice now and just can't do it. (I was feeling a bit yuk at the time and have put it down to this). So I've decided to go back to week 3 and really concentrate my efforts there...and...

Re: Week 3 - 4 Huuuuge jump

I know I'm coming in a bit late, but I became stuck on the week 4 runs...tried to do the second one twice over but each time I just couldn't make it. I felt I might have been coming down with something so I tried to be kind and laid off the programme for about 6 days. My solution was to get out ther...

Re: Sticky: Introductions!

Hi, I'm Lisa and I should be heading to the end of week 4... But I've gone back to redo the last week 3 run because it just got too much for me. I'm hindered by my location in the Australian bush with almost nothing like a smooth road, path, footpath or flat space. However, I've invested in some bet...
