Re: Interval apps?
I really love iSmoothRun. It does everything you could ask, including exporting to the new iOS health app, exports to nearly every Internet running site, and is updated continually with more capabilities. I currently have four runs programmed into iSmoothRun: A: 1min warmup, 2x 15min steady at PB+30...

A year later - first 6k
It is almost a year since I did my W9R3 which I extended to be my first 5k, and this week I celebrated my first 6k. I signed up for an upcoming turkey-trot 6k so I had to prove to myself I could run that far. After completing my GetRunning program last year, I continued to run two 5k runs each week ...

Nike+ iPhone GPS 6% different?
What kind of accuracy are you seeing with your GPS running devices? I ran a 5K with both iSmoothRun and Nike+ running apps on an iPhone 5 (simultaneous, not one then the other). The Nike+ decided that I had reached 5k about 0.3k before the iSmoothRun decided I had reached 5k. Alan (Still doing a 5k ...

Re: Anxiety to run on the street
It is tough to find fifteen minutes worth of uninterrupted run path, and especially if you are feeling some need for variety as I felt at week seven and beyond. I had to extend my warmup to 6 minutes to brisk walk to a major intersection and then started my runs after the crossing lights. As for rep...

CP25K - get/got running
I am excited to announce that after beginning W1R1 seven years ago on a treadmill, and again four years ago, and again one year ago on the sidewalk, ****AND again**** four months ago on the sidewalks of Israel, I finally, at age 61, completed W9R3 and also extended that run to be a 5k run (38:47 at ...

Re: How fast?
I am up to running 30 minutes at a time now, which I run at 7:30 per km 8 kph with the assistance of the ismooth run pace prompts. Without the prompts I found my pace started off at 5:45 and grew to 8:45 after 20 minutes. My heart rate during my runs climbs quickly to bust into zone 5 then straddles...

Re: Claire's voice
After you graduate try ismoothrun. You can set the announcements to happen as often as you wish and you can set up your personal workout by times or distance or both actually. Not Claire but pleasant running partner.

Re: Nike+ Group
ok, I'm game - just changed over to ismoothrun which will log to nike+ and runkeeper (supposedly). Did Week 7 run 2 yesterday 3.5km at 7:15 pace - a long way from 5k but I'm still running.

App left me running... 32 minute W7R1
The GetRunning App on iOS/iPhone5 was great until Apple changed things in iOS7. On my last two runs of W6, I had a workaround for the app crashing - just restart the app and fast forward to the start of running. This week the workaround was not enough and the app silently stopped during the running ...
