Re: Anyone running in 2020?

Sadly our forums have been a bit quiet recently. I think a lot of online forums have suffered a bit from the takeover of the behemoths that are Facebook and Twitter! I just wanted to pop in here and say that you're definitely not alone. I'm the forum admin, but I'm also right now I'm trying to get b...

Re: Android

Hi Run Rabbit,

Sorry for the inconvenience! Hopefully the app should be back on the Play Store in a day or so. I'll post an update here when it's back.

Regards,

Matt

Re: Run logs

Hi, Nope, it's just the date and the fact that you did it. We've considered adding GPS tracking to the app, but I think it can overcomplicate a process that should be as simple as possible when you're first starting out, especially as GPS can be unreliable in many areas (cities with many tall buildi...

Re: Week 1... only one run.

Well, I'd say that you've got the most difficult bit over with: starting! It's perfectly okay to take things at your own pace. If one run a week feels more achievable than three runs a week while you're getting started, then do one run a week! As long as you get there in the end, you don't need to s...

Re: Get Running App...reinstalled and run log lost

Hi Peter,

Yup, if you just scroll the "progress path" at the bottom of the screen forward in time, and then tap on Week 5, it should highlight in blue. Then when you press the Run button you'll start in Week 5 instead of week one.

Let us know if you have any problems!

Re: Facebook share

Hrm. Can you humour me and change the visibility from "Friends" to "Public", save the settings, and try posting from the app again, please? That might give me a clue as to what's going on behind the scenes.

Thanks,

Matt

Re: Facebook share

Thanks for the info, Les. Facebook's settings can be a bit arcane and fiddly. They should default to allowing Get Running to post, but it's worth double-checking. In Facebook, the app settings can be found from your Facebook home page, then hover over "Apps" in the left-hand sidebar. You s...

Re: Facebook share

Hi Les, Sorry about the problem you're experiencing. I just did a test run from Get Running for Android and it showed up on my Facebook okay, so the problem may be specific to your phone or Facebook account settings. To investigate, I'll need just a little more detail, please. Can you tell me: * Wha...

Re: Week 5 Run 3

Many people get a bit of a shock when they see this -- I was a bit apprehensive myself! -- but yes, that's the correct run. This jump up to continuous running should be achievable at this stage, and most people surprise themselves by taking it in their stride when it comes along. (You may have built...
