During a training run my left foot landed in what I that was just surface water but it actually turned out to be a pot hole in the pavement!! I badly twisted my ankle and strained / tore various mu...

Injury - Seriously Fed Up!!
So...it's been 10 weeks since my last run. I have a severe calf / lower leg injury and it just won't seem to heal, or it's healing very slowly. I miss getting out and just losing myself during my runs. Injuries SUCK!!! I hope everyone else is doing well

Re: Only One Week Left!!
Congrats on finishing!! You are a Star! :) I reckon you should start increasing your distance by 10% each week and build up to 10K. As well as maybe once a week just simply running one mile quick as you comfortably can to build up speed. You will find as you increase endurance and working on a quick...

Re: Only One Week Left!!
You are doing great!!! And you will finish the last three runs EASILY! :) Running trails is great fun and I think much more interesting than running along streets. Just feels somehow more natural! Keep on pushing and be sure to let us all know how you get on!! Welcome to the graduation ...almost! :)...

Re: Week 5 run 3
Hiya, I think it scares most people, but if you take it as a slow easy run you will be surprised that once you get into your groove, it's actually not as bad as you think!! You kinda just have to trust that all the run / walks up to now HAVE actually got you ready to run 20 minutes physically! :) It...

It's certainly not looking good for the 10k I can't run again until 2 weeks before the race! So, it's going to be a tough race!! Lol

Re: First run after two week Hol
Running in the wind is a pain. For some weird reason it NEVER seems to be at your back...always into your face!!!

Re: Week 6 Run 3 Hates Me
Hi Tracy,
Some weeks just seem harder than others! Trust me, if you can jump from the 8 minutes to 20 minutes in week 5, then you can TOTALLY do the 25 minute run!! Just take it slow and easy and you will be fine!! Sending you good mojo!!!
