Thanks a bunch for your answer, TinyDancer83.

I must remember to follow a regime of warm ups & downs and just carry on enjoying this new-found activity.

Cheers.

Any advice for 51 yr old new runner?

Hi Guys. Just over 7 weeks ago I started this excellent programme and left my favourite position on the couch watching TV. Now I am loving having to get out to do the next C25K challenge. It's strange but my biggest fear now is that I'll suffer an injury or fall sick and won't be able to run! Some o...

Week 8 Run 1 - High expectations?

Hi Guys. I have to say that I was surprised that Week 7 comprised 3 runs each the same 25 mins. I was thinking that Run 3 would be a week finale but no, same 25 mins so a little disappointed. Re: Week 6 Run 3 Hates Me

Well done, Tracy.

The secret is to slow down when the going gets tough (although I don't have much room to slow down as I start slow enough, anyway!)

Keep on. YOU CAN DO IT! :D

Re: Ran 6k tonight!!

That's awesome. Must be a great feeling ... enough to ignore the way your body felt then and for a day afterwards!

Keep on.

Re: Week 5 Run 3 20 mins YES! You can do it.

Try to do it as slow as possible, concentrating on lasting the trip.
Might help doing it in cool conditions which puts less stress on your breathing.

Hope this helps.
