Done!!
Ended my Get Running program this morning with a 5K race! Ran the whole time. It is so hard to believe that not too long ago, I struggled to run 60 seconds at a time!

Re: Week 1 day 1... Let' get it started!
Good luck Staysea, I am starting the very last week on Tuesday. I PROMISE you will get to this point and wonder how you ever thought running 90 seconds at a time was hard. I also agree that it is addictive. I have found myself SEVERAL times being stressed out about something or other and the first t...

Re: Bluetooth Earphones?
Siduff, I ended up ordering the Sennheiser PMX 80 earphones you recommended. I used them last night for my FIRST 25 minute run. I love them!! They didn't come with the cord clip though, and that bummed me out, but I use an armband that has a little velcro flap I can wind the extra cord under. So no ...

Re: Bluetooth Earphones?
Thanks siduff and Lisa! I will check both of those out!
Strangely, only ONE of my earbuds falls out. They are the standard Apple ones. Maybe I have mis-shapen ears.

Re: Best tunes to run to..
I have wondered this too...what others are listening to. One thing you can do is google "work out songs" or "running songs." Some websites have the beats per minute (BPM) listed, so you can choose things that will pretty much go along with your feet as you run. Here are some song...

Re: Week 4... Feeling disheartened
Definitely keep going. I worried for a couple weeks at the beginning, "I hope no one in my neighborhood sees me because I am SO slow..." But then I realized, "Hey, I am the one out running. They are sitting around." That helped over come my feelings of being self-conscious. I don...

Re: Running on footpaths
In addition to stretches, you might try ice after every run, even just as a preventive measure. I've had some shin problems in the past and still ice them for a few minutes after each run (after stretching) even when they don't feel like they are going to bother me. Try to find a gel-filled reusable...

Bluetooth Earphones?
Does anyone have any bluetooth earphones? If so, how well do they work, period? And how well do they work with the Get Running app? Anyone using them with the iPhone 4? I was doing a little research and am looking specifically at some by JayBird. But they are SO expensive. :o While on the subject of...

Re: Week 3 run 1 question
Hi Gawii, I think you should try the run again. Hopefully there won't be as many distractions. I'm on week 5 and have had to slow to barely a run SEVERAL times over the course of the program. And I don't think noting distractions is "making excuses." I think that stuff really messes with y...
