Re: Week 8 and I'm a bit stuck

Great to read these questions and answers. I found that what made a difference for me was getting a heart rate monitor. I realized that even though I was feeling sluggish I was not working all that hard - certainly not too hard. I was actually reassured by that. I pace myself to stay around 80% of m...

3rd time's a charm.

This is my third time on the programme, and I have finally reached week 6! The 20 minute run finished without drama, now into the 'pointy end' and still going. This programme has been a miracle for me!

Wow, that's appalling. Yes, these reviews seem utterly fraudulent. I'm on iPhone now, but will definitely have my say when I log onto a computer. This is THE best app I have. I love it! I recommend it to everyone who will listen. You deserve better!

Back into it

I started the program mid2010 but family problems overwhelmed me and I stopped. Got to week 4 last time and was amazed that I could do it! I am starting at week 1 again and very excited about it. My dogs are loving it too.

Re: Time rather than Distance

I'm really glad you used time rather than distance. First, I use runkeeper, but the signal where I live is very poor in patches, so whole chunks of the run are omitted sometimes. Second, I don't want pressure to go fast. I really like that about the app. Third, when I finish the 9 weeks, I plan to u...

Thanks for that list! I tend to listen to audiobooks, but it isn't very motivating sometimes

Re: Running on footpaths

Im in the same boat. I could run on grass part of the time, but it is wet, muddy and slippery at this time of year (early spring in Australia) so I stick to paved paths or bitumen. I've also had some problems with sore knees. I have found good shoes and long stretches help a lot. I hope that as the ...
