Re: Losing weight

Hi violabird , same thing here! And I do have tips, but I am not exactly following them myself LOL One thing that does help me, if I bother to stick to it, is to just not have too much in the house to snack on. I also find that on running days I do snack more, but I don't feel like big heavy m...

Re: Finished week 5 Woo Hoo!

Yaaaay! I was so hoping to be able to post in this thread today and now I can! I just finished running 20 minutes and I'm absolutely over the moon! And I wasn't even going at an absolute snail's pace. (I was a fast snail haha!) I had to stop running right before w5d3 last time around due to an (unre...

Congratulations Clare and z3angel on starting the running! And congratulations to angiegardner for completing w5d3! I did it! Whoohooo!!
It was just the right distance as well. Hard, but not un-doable. And my ankle is fine. I'm sooo glad to run again! :D :D :D

Thank you again for the advice!

Re: I'm stuck

I have to yet run the 20 minutes and I feel so much respect for people who have made it that far, so you are a hero in my book! Perhaps you can just stick to the 5 & 8 minutes for now and run 20 minutes once a week and think about what a massive boost you are giving your health! When it's time t...

Re: How to start again?

Thank you! That has just motivated me beyond belief :-)
I hope to go out tomorrow morning and see how it goes.

And thank you for the tip on how to remove the old runs. That was painless! And it is good to see "today?" with the w4d1 now.

How to start again?

Hi everyone! I was at w5d2 when I went out for a walk (not run) with my dog, stepped on a big stick awkwardly and badly hurt my foot and ankle. I couldn't walk at all for a couple of weeks, but I have since recovered and I finally feel like I can get back into running again. It has been two months. ...
