Re: Week 6 Run 2
Yes! I think a lot of pele find week six is particularly difficult because they are very confident after weeks 5's 20 minute run, and tend to go too fast, thinking that the runs are easier. Don't worry about it, and it it down to experience. Take it easy next time and you'll be fine. Happy running, ...

Re: Week 2 Run 1 (Mon-Wed-Fri)
Hi Linda! Well done getting started! Just a quick post to say that you should definitely follow your instinct if it tells you to do each week twice.
Happy running,

Hi Wombat, :-) Absolutely brilliant to hear you're planning to run! I need to make it very clear that no one at Get Running and Splendid Things is medically trained, so we certainly can't give you any medical advice! I'd urge you to talk to your physician before you start out with Get Running, and I...

Re: SHIN SPLINTS Week 2-PLEASE HELP
The stretch advice looks great! My further 2 cents is a reminder that you can repeat a weeks' run as many times as you like. You don't have to progress through the program at the suggested speed (I didn't!) and if running a week two, three or four times helps, then do that! Getting out there and exe...

Re: Week 7
I'm not, but keep running! :-) I think a lot of people find week 6 is hard, and my theory is that they're so flushed with success from the 20 minute run at the end of week 5 (and rightly so), that they don't pace themselves well in week 6. Anyway – if you find week 7 is too tough, then run the week ...

Re: Unbelievably disappointed. :((((
Hi Lumpy, That really sucks, sorry. I definitely recommend going and talking to a doctor or physio, I'm pretty sure they will be able to help! Can you also (when you are walking more comfortably) just walk briskly for a good 30 minutes? Even that is great exercise! Hope it'll work out. Best wishes, ...
