Re: Week 7 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

I laugh in the face of W7 - HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Now what is that light approaching me at speed in this tunnel - it is the express train that is W8.....EEEEEEK I really pushed it out this evening and did both my longest distance and best average speed. At one point I almost got into that mythical "z...

Re: Complete beginner!! Needing some reassurance!!

What Linda said. A mutual support group works wonders and as you progress you will find yourself reaching back to others because, when all is said and done, some of us may seem miles ahead of you but in reality we cannot be more than a couple of months ahead unless we have "graduated". I m...

Re: I'm back!

And welcome back from me too and well done on the run. The next one is all in your head - just choose the next landmark along your run and get to it without looking at your watch every thirty seconds (yes I WAS that runner!) Sorry about your pal - very young to lose someone. As for "man-flu&quo...

I'm with you on the pomp and Pimm's. Sorry to hear you're still suffering though - I hope it lifts from you soon and good luck tomorrow. Now it's time to pick up some more supplies including ice, fruit and lemonade to keep us topped up!

Re: Week 7 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Another day of Jubilee fun here today and it's still raining ! My first W7 run was dreadful yesterday: the rain got heavier as I ran, my glasses were useless given how wet it was, I had not put the support on my knees and I forgot my water. Normally I run at my work location but as I am home for the...

Re: Week 6 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

I spoke too soon - it was horrible. Rain getting heavier as I progressed, slow pace as cows had churned up the path and I made the mistake of tracking the time which was utterly depressing. And I'd forgotten my water. Hopefully W7R2 will be better.

Re: Nervous Wreck over W5R3

Very very well done indeed. Can I suggest, if you do indulge, a nice glass of wine to celebrate this evening. If not just bask in how you have changed from W1R1.

Re: Week 6 (mon-wed-fri) by Linda231

Linda, I'm planning on keeping running half hour sessions two to three times a week and perhaps the occasional saturday morning Parkrun (which haven't taken off in America yet - there's only one so far near Detroit whilst here in the UK most big towns and cities have at least one - check out parkrun...
