Re: humbled!
I'll start week 4 on Tuesday, good to know that I'm not the only one on here on week 4! week 3 run 3 was extremely heavy due to extreme heat, but it should be cooling down over the next few days and I hope that we'll help me with the run. It's probably a good idea to rest a couple of days if you hav...

Re: Week 9 again and again and again...
If you're just looking for an app that tells you how long or how far you've been running, you could try to use the RunKeeper app. Another option is to look at an app that lets you run 10k. I've noticed that there are a lot of podcasts around that help you through your runs, might be worth checking t...

Re: W3R1 here I come!
Week 3 run 2 started off very good, and I somehow had the feeling that the whole training would go very smoothly. The last 3 minutes of running were pretty difficult, though... I normally try to do a bit of sprinting over the last 30 seconds of my final run, but today I felt like a slug! I didn't an...

Re: W3R1 here I come!
Hi, it was time for W3R1 this morning! I was afraid that I might have to skip it, as I was helping out a friend with laying down a new wooden floor on Saturday and Sunday morning I suddenly had swollen knees that were very hot to the touch! I had to sit on my knees a lot, so I assume it's from that ...

W3R1 here I come!
I just had an amazing w2r3! I felt like I had so much more engergy than 2 weeks ago when I did my very first run ever and was smiling all the way through the 29 minutes. I even did a little sprint over the last 90 second and felt completely exhilerated after that. Can't wait for Tuesday for week 3 t...

Re: What are you listening to?
I find Dreadzone and certain songs from Muse great for running. And anything else that makes me happy and smile

As you mentioned yourself, it was simply too hot! Don't be too hard on yourself, you just did a 30min run

Re: First Run! Hi all!
Hi! Sheri, it's so motivating to read your posts! I really can't imagine yet running for 30 minutes in only 7 weeks, but hey, I have actually never thought that I'd do some running and especially not that I'd enjoy it! Haylez, you lost 24kg, that's amazing! Well done! I am looking forward to read ab...

Re: When do you run?
I start to have a morning routine now, where I first eat a small bowl of granola, to give me some much needed energy for my run and then do 5-10 minutes of stretching, before I get started. I noticed that the stretching before the run helps me a lot in the first intervals, as I am stiff as a log in ...

Re: Sticky: Introductions!
Hi everyone, Liz here from the Netherlands. I just finished W2R1 this morning and got totally soaked from the rain  It felt absolutely fantastic, though! I've never done running before and I am surprised how much I enjoy it. It's great to just turn on your iPod and tune out life for a half ho...
